Funded by a grant from AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP, Diakon offers The RSVP volunteers work toward educating,evaluating, protecting,conservation,and revitalizing our environment in the communities that we live in. Leading to the betterment and health of people in the community and benefiting the outdoor activities within Clinton, Lycoming, Union, and Snyder Counties.   • Supporting and expanding the education and awareness of Environmental Stewardship in the community;
  • Monitoring the health and cleanliness of our streams, rivers and bodies of water;
  • Maintaining and preserving trails and camp areas in state parks and forests.

RSVP volunteer commitments range from a couple of hours to an ongoing commitment. The amount of time is up to you!

Our volunteers receive pre-service orientation, training from the organization they choose to serve and supplemental insurance while volunteering. RSVP volunteers do not receive monetary incentives, but seeing the impact of your contribution to the beauty and health of our rivers and parks, will be quite an incentive in and of itself.
